Medical Insurance

Mindful Wellbeing is in network with the following insurance companies:

∙ Minnesota Medicaid (MA)

∙ Medicare

∙ Preferred One

∙ Aetna

∙ Blue Cross Blue Shield

∙ UCare

∙ Medica

∙ United Healthcare/Optum

∙ HealthPartners / Cigna

∙ Hennepin Health

Please know insurance requires an individual to have a mental health diagnosis to qualify for reimbursement. Additionally, many people with high deductible plans find that they are fully responsible for their therapy for many sessions and that a self-pay rate is sometimes a cheaper option.

EMDR Intensives

Self-Pay* Only

$200 / hr of EMDR Services

Note: A non-refundable deposit will be required on the day that you schedule your intensive with the remainder of the balance due on the first day of service for the intensive. EMDR intensives are private pay due to limitations with insurance which does not presently allow for services to be provided in this manner in an outpatient setting. However, for some people it can work better to intensely focus on resolving their distress rather than meeting once or twice weekly to try to move through it.

Groups & Workshops

Groups have specific rates based on frequency and length of session. Visit our groups page to learn more.

MN Debt Fairness Act

As required by Minnesota’s Debt Fairness Act, we want to clarify that clients are solely responsible for their own medical debts. We do not transfer liability for any unpaid balances to spouses or family members.

Debt Collection Practices

If a balance remains unpaid after a reasonable period, we may refer your account to a third-party collection agency. However, in accordance with the Debt Fairness Act, we will not report any unpaid medical bills to credit bureaus, and we will work with you to resolve outstanding balances. Mindful Wellbeing follows Minnesota's Debt Fairness Act, which provides protections against income garnishment.

We encourage you to contact us to address any overdue balances and to discuss payment options. If you experience financial difficulty or are unable to pay your balance, please contact us so that we can discuss options.

Billing Errors and Disputes

We are committed to ensuring that your bills are accurate. If you believe there is an error in your billing, such as incorrect medical coding or charges, please notify us immediately. We will work with you to resolve any discrepancies in a timely and fair manner. If you have concerns or questions, please contact us at billing@mindfulwellbeingmn.com and we will assist you in reviewing your bill.

Financial Assistance and Payment Plans

We understand that therapy services can sometimes cause financial strain. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please reach out to us. We may be able to offer a sliding scale fee or discuss payment plans to make services more affordable. Your wellbeing is important to us, and we are here to work with you to find a solution that meets your needs.

*Good Faith Estimates for Self Pay and Out of Network Clients

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. Make sure your health care provider gives you a GFE in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a GFE before you schedule an item or service. You have the right to receive a GFE for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

The GFE shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for services provided by Mindful Wellbeing. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. It does not take into account any reimbursement that you may receive as a result of out of network benefits.

The GFE does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or  special circumstances occur.  If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. You may contact Mandy Wannarka, Owner of Mindful Wellbeing, to let her know the billed charges are higher than the Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

We take your privacy seriously.
